宽带无线通信与人工智能实验室

2014年9月25日，受到电信学院宽带无线通信与多媒体实验室刘富强教授邀请，上海科技大学信息科学与技术学院杨旸教授应邀来校举行学术讲座，主题为“Cellular Architecture and Key Technologies for 5G Wireless Communication Networks”。

The fourth generation (4G) wireless communication systems have been deployed or are soon to be deployed in many countries. However, with an explosion of wireless mobile devices and services, there are still some challenges that cannot be accommodated by even 4G, such as spectrum crisis and high energy consumption problems. Wireless system designers have been facing the continuously increasing demand for high data rate and mobility required by new wireless applications and therefore, have started research on the fifth generation (5G) wireless systems that are expected to be deployed beyond 2020. In this talk, we will introduce a potential cellular architecture, which separates indoor and outdoor scenarios, and discuss various promising technologies for 5G wireless communication systems, e.g., massive multipleinput multiple-output (MIMO), energy efficient communications, cognitive radio networks, and millimeter wave communications. Future challenges facing those potential technologies will also be discussed.

杨旸，博士，上海科技大学信息科学与技术学院教授，中科院上海微系统与信息技术研究所学术委员会副主任，上海无线通信研究中心主任。他的研究领域包括无线传感器网络（物联网）、新一代移动通信系统（4G/5G）、无线新技术测试验证平台等。已申报20多项科技发明专利，发表了100多篇学术论文。已担任多个国际学术期刊的编辑，参与组织了50多个国际学术会议。

杨旸在1996年和1999年于东南大学无线电工程系获本科和硕士学位，2002年于香港中文大学信息工程系获博士学位。之后，留在香港中文大学信息工程系担任助理教授。2003年8月到英国布鲁奈尔大学（Brunel University）的电子与计算机工程系担任讲师。2005年3月到英国伦敦大学学院（UCL）电子与电气工程系担任讲师，后升职为高级讲师（终生教职）。
